A racing shell with a road licence
The Pole Position (ABE) is a one-piece racing shell released for the public road. The shell is produced either in carbon aramid (CFRP/AFRP) or in glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP). It carries an ABE/TÜV component certification with a 3-point belt for a range of vehicles, and that certification applies in combination with a RECARO console and adapter.

Turn the seat
The viewer runs on a turntable sequence: 36 frames at 10° steps,
2000 px wide, white background, fixed camera height. Drop them into
assets/360/ppabe/frame-01.jpg and set data-frames="36".
The RECARO site carries a 3D viewer for this shell. That viewer is proprietary and cannot be reused, so the equivalent here runs on a frame sequence shot in-house. Drag or use the arrow keys once the frames are in place.

Pole Position (ABE)
Can it be used on the road?
Yes, with the ABE/TÜV component certification and a 3-point belt. The certification applies in combination with a RECARO console and adapter, and coverage is vehicle-specific.
Carbon or GFRP?
Both shells are offered. The carbon aramid shell weighs approx. 4.5 kg against approx. 7.0 kg for the standard version, at a higher price.
Does the backrest recline?
No. This is a fixed-back shell. Seating angle is set by the console and adapter.
