A competition shell for GT, touring and club sport
The Pole Position N.G. (FIA) is a glass fibre competition shell homologated to FIA 8855-1999 with a five-year approval period. Cushions and upholstery materials can be specified, which is what keeps the shell in use across GT, touring car and club sport grids. Upholstery meets FMVSS 302.

Turn the seat
The viewer runs on a turntable sequence: 36 frames at 10° steps,
2000 px wide, white background, fixed camera height. Drop them into
assets/360/ppng/frame-01.jpg and set data-frames="36".
The RECARO site carries a 3D viewer for this shell. That viewer is proprietary and cannot be reused, so the equivalent here runs on a frame sequence shot in-house. Drag or use the arrow keys once the frames are in place.

How long does the FIA homologation run?
FIA 8855-1999 approval is valid for five years from the homologation date stamped on the shell. Check that date against the regulations of the series you enter.
Is it road legal?
No. This is a competition shell for racing use with 4-, 5- and 6-point harnesses. For a road-released shell see the Pole Position (ABE).
Are sidemounts included?
No. Fixed sidemounts and aluminium sidemounts are listed as accessories and are ordered separately.
